Mr. Vance has been in the securities business for over twenty years and has spent his entire career at Prudential. He began his career as a retail broker and product manager. For the last fifteen years at Prudential, Mr. Vance was a NASDAQ market maker and ran the Portfolio Trading Desk, as well as the Options Desk.
Bill is currently a Governor of the Security Traders Association and serves as Chairman of the Conference Committee. Previously, he served as Co-Chairman of the Vendor Committee. In addition to his activities at the national level, he served as STANY’s President in 2004-05, and is currently on the STANY Board as Past President. Even before he joined the STANY Board, Mr. Vance actively served as a member of STANY’s Trading Issues Committee. In addition to being extremely active with STANY’s charitable endeavors, Mr. Vance serves as a member of the boards of several local New York charities and religious institutions.
Mr. Vance received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in accounting from St. John’s University in 1985. He resides on Long Island, New York, with his wife Beth and daughter Rachel and son Joshua.
