Mr. Matrone is currently Director of Trading Operations with Rushmore Investments Advisors Inc. (RIA). In this capacity, he oversees all aspects of RIA securities trading and also supports the RIA investment committee with technical analysis. During his nearly two decades of industry experience he has held senior level positions with a number of national and regional trading firms, including Southwest Securities Inc. where he was head trader of market making.
A past President of the Dallas Security Traders Association (DSTA), Mr. Matrone has been involved with STA on the affiliate level for nearly twelve years. A board member for all of those years, he was a two term elected Governor, and Chairman of STA Political Action Committee, four consecutive Years. He currently serves as STA Secretary and as a Co-Chair of STA’s Affiliate Liaison, International and New Members Committees.
Over the years, Mr. Matrone has been active in STA’s grass roots efforts and instrumental in getting STA members to voice their views and opinions on key industry issues to their elected legislators.
Mr. Matrone is also actively involved in the Texas Coastal Conservation Association and is a local past president of that organization which, among other things, raises money and lobbies for a variety of causes that promote recreational fishing and costal Conservation.
Mr. Matrone was born and raised in New York. He attended Mercy College on a full athletic scholarship for golf and graduated with a BS degree in Business Administration. He lives in Texas with his wife Mary and two children, Loren 9 and Vincent 7.
