Mr. Schneider is Director, U.S. Sales at BATS Exchange, Inc. based in Lenexa, Kansas. He frequently attends industry conferences and seminars on the company’s behalf, directs special projects and has been a driving force in BATS nearly doubling its new member base in 2008.
Mr. Schneider works closely with the rest of the BATS sales force and, as the firm’s first sales associate, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role. He has 13 years of industry experience ranging from securities trading to investment banking, including time as a vice president in the investment banking division of UMB Bank, Kansas City.
He has been involved with the STA as a member of STASL since his time as a fixed income trader with Edward Jones in St. Louis. As the current president of the Kansas City Securities Association, he is actively working to grow membership while shaping a strong agenda for the group’s participants.
Mr. Schneider holds a B.A. in finance from Westminster College in Fulton, Missouri, as well as an MBA from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. He also has earned certification from the Mid States Banking Association’s Graduate School of Banking from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. Mr. Schneider resides in Parkville, Missouri, with his wife Amy and their two children.
