John Daley has 17 years of experience in the investment business. He currently works for Stifel Nicolaus as Managing Director, Institutional Equity Trading, in Dallas, Texas. His duties include covering accounts and trading for institutional clients, as well as working with other capital markets initiatives. Before Stifel, he was Senior Vice President of Trading for Jefferies & Company Inc. He was with Jefferies for over 9 years and managed the Dallas trading office and oversaw the technology sector-trading group.
Prior to joining Jefferies, Mr. Daley was with Dain Bosworth in Minneapolis, Minnesota for 6 years. He started in the back office, put himself through five years of night school, and worked up to Vice President and Senior Equity Trader.
Mr. Daley has been very active with STA over the years at the affiliate level both in Minnesota and in Texas. He is the Past President of the Dallas Security Traders Association and has served on STA’s Affiliate Liaison Committee. He is currently co-chair of the STA Washington Conference Committee and Political Action Committee.
John loves to volunteer his time coaching youth football. He lives in Frisco, Texas with his wife, Dawn, and their two children, Jacob and Morgan.
