Brian McCarthy is a Senior Manager at Vanguard Brokerage Services (VBS) in Malvern, Pennsylvania. He has been with VBS, a division of the Vanguard Group, for over 11 years, holding management positions in VBS Operations, Investor Services and Trading. He is currently responsible for overseeing the OMS, Equity & Options Trading and Best Execution practices.
Mr. McCarthy has been a member of the Investment Traders Association of Philadelphia since 2004 and involved with the STA Trading Issues Committee since 2006. In 2007, he was elected to the STA Board of Governors and will be serving in that capacity through 2009.
Mr. McCarthy holds a BS in Finance from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College and earned a Graduate Business Certificate from the Haub School of Business at St. Joseph’s University. Mr. McCarthy resides in Chester County with his wife Lisa and their three children.
