Mr. Mock serves as the STA Treasuer, as well as Co-Chair of the Affiliate Liaison Committee and a member of the STA Trading Issues Committee. He previously served as chairman of the STA Annual Conference Committee and as a member of the STA Program Committee. Mr. Mock is Past President of the San Francisco Security Traders Association.
Brett Mock is a Managing Director with BTIG where he is a senior sales trader based in San Francisco.
Mr. Mock has been in the securities business for fourteen years. He began his career in New York City with Spear, Leeds and Kellogg (now a Goldman Sachs company) where he spent several years with the firm’s subsidiary, Troster Singer, trading NASDAQ securities. In 1998, Mr. Mock joined Montgomery Securities (now Banc of America Securities) as a NASDAQ trader. At Banc of America Montgomery Securities, Mr. Mock was a senior NASDAQ market maker and then a senior sales trader before joining Wachovia Capital Markets in 2003. Mr. Mock was a Director at Wachovia Capital Markets for Equity Trading in San Francisco from 2003 until March of 2006.
Mr. Mock received two Bachelor of Arts degrees in economics and political economics from the University of Washington in Seattle. He resides in Marin County, California with his wife Maile and daughters Makena and Callie.
