The Dictum Meum Pactum Award was established in 2002 by Past Chairman Michael Bird to recognize individuals whose contributions to the industry, their firms, STA and their communities are consistent with the ideals that STA has supported since its inception.
John L. Watson III – for his outstanding achievements as STA Chairman, 1977 and President/CEO, 1986-1996, demonstrated by the organization’s role as a major contributor to improving a rapidly changing market structure, as well as accelerating membership growth; and for his consummate professionalism and strength of character, which are consistent with the ideals that STA has supported since its inception.
Annette L. Nazareth – for exemplary accomplishments as a Commissioner and Director of the Securities & Exchange Commission from 1999-2008; for having been a key leader in the critical modernization of the U.S. Equity Markets; for exhibiting integrity at the highest level; and for her consummate professionalism and strength of character, which are consistent with the ideals that STA has supported since its inception.
Hedi Reynolds – for her outstanding contributions to STA, including service as STA Chairman Emeritus of the By-Laws Committee; for her commitment to the industry, ensuring world-class market quality; and for her consummate professionalism and strength of character, which are consistent with the ideals that STA has supported since its inception.
Richard G. Ketchum – for his exemplary accomplishments as President and Vice Chairman of the NASDAQ Stock Market from 1991-2003, he will be remembered for having recognized the critical role that markets play in the U.S. and global economies with the vision of creating a superior market place for all investors; for continually exhibiting integrity at the highest level, his personal character and professionalism are consistent with the ideals that STA has supported since its inception.
S. William Broka – for his exemplary work as a liaison between NASDAQ and STA over the past many years and for his commitment to the creation of a superior market place for investors of all types—nobody could have done it better; and for consistently exhibiting levels of professionalism and ethics that are a model of the ideals that STA has supported since its inception.
