STA sponsors two conferences each year, covering trading issues, legislation, regulation, technology and other topics.

STA’s Annual Conference and Business Meeting is among the securities industry’s most anticipated and best-attended events of the year. It brings together the nation’s top regulators, elected officials, market and exchange executives and more than 700 market professionals.

While the presentations and panels give attendees the latest information on critical industry issues, gatherings and social events provide ample opportunities for networking and an exchange of ideas with fellow market professionals. The Washington Conference in Washington, D.C., provides a forum for senior lawmakers to update industry professionals on the latest developments “on the Hill.” Regulators also participate, providing a round up of new and proposed regulations and the effects they will have on professional market participants, as well as on retail investors.
