STA Foundation

The STA Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that was organized in 1990 by the Security Traders Association. It is the educational arm of STA, responsible for educating members and others about the evolving changes occurring in the securities industry. Subjects of current focus are technology, internationalization, and new and diversified products and regulation.

The Foundation is a 501©3 corporation under the Internal Revenue Code and all contributions to it are fully tax deductible. The Foundation accepts contributions in any amount from anyone interested in supporting its activities.

The Foundation is generally supported by member contributions, assorted fund-raising events, corporate sponsorships at such events and conference fees.

The Foundation is also a sponsor of two academic conferences each year, both of which are held in New York and both of which addressed extremely timely issues. The STA Foundation supports Baruch College and Pace University in its studies of the market place. Many prominent leaders in the industry participate in these thought-provoking conferences.

STA is pleased to support educational programs such as these since they provide a platform for airing critical issues confronting the industry as well as a forum of creative dialogue in furtherance of thoughtful solutions.
